Literature Text

I hear the patter of the rain,
I hear the footsteps of the children running in,
I run outside,
while others hide
Discard my shoes,
and my evening blues
My world blossoms like a rose,
My heart seems to grow
The rain greets me like a dear old friend,
Says it promises not to leave again
I dance,
and I sing
And am soaked to the bone
Yet this joy that I feel
It bursts and it roams.
While I watch it dry up,
and splash in my last puddle,
My eyes catch the sky
that now ceases to cry
It holds a gift for us all
After every rain fall
As I dash back inside,
The colors shine in my eyes
of the rainbow that completes
My rain driven spry.
I love LOVE LOVE rain~

"Shirt hanging down,
ruined my new phone"

These lines feel out of place in this poem. The majority of the poem's register is drawn from the naturalistic and spiritual semantic fields, whereas these two are more commercial and materialistic.

Other than that, nice work.
